Giving Strategies to Pitch to Your Employer

Picked up this blog post on Inspiring Generosity from Joe Waters who cites some excellent examples of corporate generosity, and how to use these examples to pitch to your employer. A part of this concept is the value of cause marketing….just one approach for for-profits to align with a nonprofit cause or brand and allocate a portion of their profits for the mission that has a clear tie-in to the nonprofit. For example, several years ago General Mills formed a relationship between its Cheerios product and the American Heart Association.
